The Chantry is a 2b brain injury rehabilitation/complex care unit. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to push forward on quality improvement with experience of complex medical needs and working with regulatory bodies to improve standards.

Brainkind is a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people in regaining lost skills. We treat individuals with various brain injuries caused by trauma, illness, substance abuse, and more, helping them recover and meet personal goals. Main duties of the job

About us:

The Chantry has provided specialist neurological care for over 20 years, building a reputation for quality, personalized, and innovative care and rehabilitation through its residential and community-based services.

Our service offers 26 residential beds, providing opportunities for professional growth in complex disability, high dependency care, and slow-stream rehabilitation. We also offer innovative approaches within the level 2 rehabilitation unit, which has 6 beds.

MAIN PURPOSE:

  • To take overall responsibility for the effective management of all aspects of the service, ensuring the highest quality standards of care and treatment tailored to individual needs.
  • To lead, manage, and direct a multidisciplinary team aligned with Brainkind’s Strategic Plan and the needs of individuals.
  • To ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation, maintaining registration as a Registered Manager with CQC.

Job responsibilities

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide professional leadership, hands-on management, staff guidance, and influence practices and attitudes.
  • Line management of senior management and clinical staff, providing operational support, ensuring performance standards, and managing budgets within the service.
  • Responsible for recruitment, employment practices, staff induction, training, statutory responsibilities, and planning staff leave to ensure safe service operation.
