Two posts | Service Managers - In Care and Life Beyond Care| 8279 | permanent contracts | 37 hours per week | £55,147 to £60,676 per annum | Grade M | Countywide

I am Becky Harris-Cook, Head of the In Care and Life Beyond Care services and the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children Service here in Norfolk. I am currently looking to recruit two Service Managers to work within our Corporate Parenting Service. One will work with our In Care Service and the other with our Life Beyond Care Service, both posts are countywide.

As a leader you will support Team Managers in ensuring that there is effective and responsive child-centred service delivery, for our children, young people, their families and networks across the whole of Norfolk. You will work as part of the extended Senior Management Team, sharing responsibility for the overall management and delivery of Corporate Parenting services. You will also provide countywide operational oversight for social care practice and work with the Head of Service to ensure outcomes are as good as they can be and all our Children In Care and Care Leavers FLOURISH.

As part of the new ways of working you would support the Head of Service in ensuring effective and consistent communication and practice across the Service, organisation and with external partners. You will ensure that core ways of working are embedded in the workforce and work with external and internal partners to identify needs and meet these needs in service delivery, providing positive outcomes for children and young people in Norfolk.

You will have excellent communication and diplomacy skills, have strong relationship-based practice and be dynamic and enthusiastic as we journey towards helping all our YP flourish. Additionally, you will have strong strategic and analytical skills to understand and use data to aid in evidence-based decision-making as well as policy and procedure development. You will demonstrate an ability to manage complex issues with creative and at times bespoke care planning.

You will have at least two years management experience in a LA social care setting, a Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England and experience of working with children or young people either as Looked After Children or Care Leavers.
