Role Responsibility
Kent County Council's Adult Social Care and Health Directorate seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist for the Community OT Service Manager role in West Kent. The Service Manager, supported by the Area Operational OT Manager and 5 Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapists, will oversee 4 OT Teams across West and North Kent. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the OT Service Manager for East Kent to ensure a safe, effective service throughout the County and represent Occupational Therapy in all business areas. Additionally, they will work with the Principal Occupational Therapist and Practice Development Officers to promote high-quality, innovative, evidence-based practices across the County.

The Community OT service is part of the Enablement and Support Services Division, offering enablement, short-term support, day opportunities, and Shared Lives services to help individuals develop and regain skills for independent living.
The Directorate is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to adults and carers, aiming to deliver a modern, cohesive public service for all residents of Kent.
This role is customer-facing. Under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016), the Council must ensure post holders have sufficient spoken English/Welsh for effective job performance. Standards are detailed in the Job Description/Person Specification.
The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service and requires registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a qualified Occupational Therapist.
Interviews are expected to be held on 15 July at Kroner House, Ashford. Additional testing may be required as part of the interview process.
