Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated B7 Speech and Language Therapist to join the acute SLT team across our hospitals in Basingstoke and Winchester. The role offers development from B7 to B8a with clinical leadership responsibilities and governance of swallow services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic B7 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our acute Speech and Language Therapy team working across both hospital sites. This is a time of change for our provision as our community service moves to another organisation and therefore a time of opportunity to establish this now solely acute service.
This is a development role progressing from a B7 to B8a. Clinical leadership skills are paramount, and support will be given to develop operational management skills. You will be the clinical lead for SLT working at HHFT and part of the progression will be to join the Therapies Leadership Team. You will be offered support and an individualised plan by the one of the Therapies Leadership team to enable you to develop from a B7 to an 8a role.
This role is based at Basingstoke and north Hampshire Hospital, where you will be a clinical team member, but will have cross site working to Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. Instrumental assessments (both FEES and VFSS) are provided on both sites, for inpatients and community outpatients, and you will be leading on the governance and overall provision of these services.
