A leading Welsh charity is seeking a Service Manager to oversee vital refuge services in Merthyr and Bridgend. This role will involve managing a dedicated team, ensuring service excellence, and advocating for service users within a supportive environment. Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management experience, ideally in domestic abuse, homelessness, or related sectors.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
  • Confident working with external agencies and across multi-agency partnerships.

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support in refuge services.
  • Line manage a committed team, providing supervision, support, and professional development.
  • Maintain service excellence by monitoring performance, managing caseloads, and ensuring compliance.
  • Coordinate with external partners (e.g., MARAC, MAPPA, social services) to advocate for service users.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including accurate record-keeping, audits, and rota management.
  • Ensure budgets and expenditure align with financial procedures and reporting requirements.

  • 6-month fixed term (possible extension)
  • £28,116 per annum
  • 35 per week + participation in 2nd-tier on-call rota
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

The Role:
