Job description

As a key member of the service leadership team, the postholder will be jointly responsible for the provision of safe, effective, and efficient Dermatology services at St George's Hospital in Tooting (SGH), Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton (QMH), and the Nelson Health Centre in South Wimbledon. The core responsibilities will include:

  1. Day-to-day management of all operational issues within Dermatology services.
  2. Ensuring the effective delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls, and resource limits.
  3. Supporting the Assistant General Manager, General Manager, and Clinical Leads in delivering Trust and national objectives.

The role reports to the Assistant General Manager and is a vital part of the Dermatology and Specialist Medicine management team.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong operational background to support high-quality and efficient patient care. Applicants should be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, committed to personal development, proactive in implementing change, and eager to collaborate with clinical colleagues to develop the service and implement lasting improvements.

The successful candidate will have experience managing pathways including RTT and cancer waiting times, as well as managing budgets and staff. They will have access to numerous development courses and opportunities through the St George's Leadership Academy and potential career progression within the NHS management team.
