Are you an experienced leader and manager, able to inspire others to drive sustainable improvements in the lives of children, young people, and families?

We have a fantastic career opportunity for a Service Manager to join the Disabled Children Service at Northamptonshire Children’s Trust.

You will oversee a statutory service focused on the most vulnerable children and young people in Northamptonshire, ensuring they have opportunities to reach their full potential, enjoy quality of life, and are safeguarded from harm.

Your responsibilities include leading and motivating the service team, delivering high-quality support to children with SEND and their families, and ensuring all children are well supported to maximize their life chances and feel prepared for adulthood.

You should have strong multi-agency leadership skills, experience working collaboratively across organizations, and a commitment to partnership working with children, young people, parents, and carers, emphasizing co-production in service planning and delivery.

About you
  • You will have a BA in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or another recognized social work qualification by Social Work England.
  • You are capable of inspiring colleagues and stakeholders to engage with long-term aims and vision.
  • You can embed an inclusive culture that fosters positive and supportive teams.
  • You communicate with conviction and clarity, even in challenging negotiations.
  • You share your expertise through coaching and mentoring to support team success.
  • You use quality assurance tools to ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery.
  • You can translate priorities into clear, outcome-focused objectives and develop team and service plans accordingly.
