We have an excellent opportunity for a Service Manager for Children and Young People to join a leading CQC registered provider of Community Health Services in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. A full job specification will be provided on application.

About the company

Our client and the Nottinghamshire CCG are working together to deliver an Emotional Wellbeing Early Support Service for Children and Young People. This transformative service will play a central role in system change, bringing previously separate services into one service, supporting children and young people to experience good mental health and emotional wellbeing by providing timely, integrated, high-quality, and accessible multi-disciplinary support that is flexible and based on individual needs.

About the role

As Service Manager, you will manage the daily operations of the Emotional Wellbeing Early Support Service for Children and Young People. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and directing staff (paid and voluntary) to ensure timely and appropriate transition processes for young people
  • Leading and promoting an innovative, equitable service
  • Developing and evolving the service in collaboration with service users to meet changing needs
  • Maintaining standard operating procedures and referral routes
  • Ensuring safeguarding of young people and children is prioritized
  • Managing risk assessments, registers, and cases according to safeguarding protocols
  • Delivering outcomes-based service, exceeding KPIs, and managing resources effectively
  • Keeping records and providing timely qualitative and quantitative reports
  • Participating in management and external meetings
  • Supervising staff and volunteers, providing training as needed
  • Providing leadership and support in a fast-paced environment

About the responsibilities

The Service Manager is a senior role reporting to the Medical Director, supporting performance and service development through implementation and innovation.

  • Experience managing CYP/mental health services within complex health systems
  • Proven leadership skills with staff, volunteers, and trainees
  • A proactive, strategic thinker with excellent communication skills
  • A results-oriented approach with a passion for improving children and young people's emotional wellbeing

Rewards

The role offers a 40-hour workweek, a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 annually, and benefits including 33 days of annual leave (plus Bank Holidays), increasing with service length.
