Job description

We are seeking a committed and experienced Service Manager to lead a specialist domestic abuse support service for men fleeing or surviving abuse. The role oversees supported accommodation, floating support, a confidential helpline, and peer support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, trauma-informed support services.

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a multi-disciplinary staff team.

  • Deliver high-quality housing-related support and intensive housing management.

  • Oversee referrals, risk assessments, and personalised support planning.

  • Ensure effective collaboration with partner agencies to provide tailored support.

  • Maintain service quality in line with regulatory standards and performance frameworks.

  • Support service user involvement and inclusion, including LGBTQ+ engagement.

  • Monitor budgets, voids, and arrears, and ensure properties are safe, furnished, and maintained.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Enhanced DBS.

  • Proven management experience in housing or support services.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, ideally survivors of domestic abuse.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and health & safety legislation.

  • Ability to manage performance, budgets, and contractual compliance.

  • Flexible, responsive, and resilient under pressure.
