Job summary

Vertu Volkswagen Leeds, part of Vertu Motors plc, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our aftersales operation. You will drive service processes, ensure high customer satisfaction, and align with manufacturer standards while managing costs and quality across the workshop.

The role offers a competitive basic salary with an OTE of £75,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, with clear career progression in a busy, high‑volume retail environment across Leeds.

Qualifications

• Experience as Service Manager or similar in automotive retail.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to improve customer satisfaction and drive profitability.

Responsibilities

• To take responsibility for implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction levels in excess of the manufacturer national average.
• To monitor and control costs in line with the business plan, whilst maintaining quality standards and customer service.
• To ensure accurate collection and recording of customer data in line with Group standards.
• To ensure that the manufacturer’s standards are adhered to at all times.
• To make sure there is a safe working environment which is maintained.
• To monitor colleague performance and support ongoing development.

The main duties of this role are:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record within the role, with previous experience in a similar Service Manager position. You will clearly demonstrate your ability to generate strong results by increasing performance, profitability and operating efficiency. Strong leadership and people management skills are essential, with the ability to motivate and develop a team to consistently achieve business objectives.

You will be expected to drive the business forward and maximise customer satisfaction whilst motivating and managing the whole team. You will also be able to demonstrate that you share our company values, alongside strong communication and organisational skills.
