Job Description: Service Manager - Norfolk (Norwich & Kings Lynn) | Endurance Care Norfolk. Location covers two services: Cromer Road in Norwich and Lord Nelson House in Kings Lynn. Brand new service within National Care Group, supporting young adults with various circumstances including learning disabilities and mental health issues. Forecasted opening date: September.

Responsibilities
- Devise, implement and review support plans with individuals, ensuring safe and achievable outcomes that reflect the service user’s wishes.
- Assess and develop outcome-focused risk management plans.
- Perform audits of support plans, health action plans, risk assessments, and management documents; oversee financial management systems where applicable.
- Manage your diary to provide full support to the services; be a point of contact for service users, families and staff within your network.
- Participate in management meetings, daily office functions, and represent the company when needed in public/professional domains.
- Plan and organise meetings; communicate day-to-day issues with your manager.
- Ensure information on service users is securely stored and updated in line with applicable data protection and confidentiality requirements.
- Support staff to work within their defined roles and capabilities; contribute to fact-finding for complaints or concerns.
- Plan and deliver staff appraisals, supervisions, and HR-related tasks; participate in disciplinary processes when necessary.
- Carry out risk assessments regarding health and safety, including lone working practices.
- Mentor or train staff, either in structured sessions or while working alongside them.
- Ensure staff follow policies, procedures and guidance from the Employee Handbook.
- Comply with Health and Social Care Act 2014, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, GSCC, safeguarding policies, and CQC standards; adhere to Mental Health Act 2013 policies where applicable.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions.
- Minimum of Level 3 in Health and Social Care with a plan to complete Level 5.
- Experience managing a team, including rotas, appraisals and disciplinary processes.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
