Job summary

SAMH invites applications for the Service Manager to launch The Nook in Edinburgh, a new walk-in mental health and wellbeing service. You will lead a compassionate team, build local partnerships, and oversee implementation to deliver immediate, stigma-free support seven days a week.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong track record in community-based services, excellent communication, resilience, and a commitment to reducing barriers to care in Edinburgh.

SAMH is transforming how mental health support is delivered in Scotland. As part of our bold new vision, we are launching The Nook from SAMH - a safe, stigma-free walk-in service offering immediate mental health and wellbeing support, seven days a week.

We are now looking for an exceptional leader to help us launch our very first Nook, opening in Edinburgh in Spring 2027.

As Service Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping and leading this pioneering service. You will manage a skilled and compassionate team, foster strong relationships with community partners, and ensure delivery of high-quality support that meets the diverse needs of people across Edinburgh.
