Voyage Care is seeking a passionate and capable leader to manage Dryad Spinney, our residential service in Blackwood. This opportunity is open both to experienced Registered Managers and to talented colleagues who are ready to take the next step in their career.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established manager or an experienced Deputy Manager, or senior colleague with strong leadership potential to join a well-established service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, epilepsy and behaviours.

The service has strong foundations, a committed staff team and a person-centred culture. We are looking for someone who can provide visible leadership, drive quality improvements and support the service in achieving its full potential. If this would be your first Registered Manager role, you will bring relevant operational experience, sound judgement and the ambition to develop with the right support.

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys making a real impact, developing teams and delivering outstanding outcomes for the people they support.

About the Role

As Registered Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the service.

Working closely with families, professionals and internal stakeholders, you will lead the team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support whilst maintaining full regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the day-to-day running of the service
  • Leading, coaching and developing the staff team
  • Driving quality, compliance and service improvement initiatives
  • Completing audits, action plans and regulatory reporting
  • Managing budgets and service performance
  • Ensuring safe, effective and person-centred support is delivered
  • Building positive relationships with families, professionals and commissioners
  • Supporting recruitment, induction and ongoing development of colleagues
  • Preparing the service for future inspections and maintaining high standards of governance
  • Participating in the on-call rota as required
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a confident leader who understands high-quality, person-centred care and can take ownership of a regulated service. You may already be a successful Registered Manager, or you may be an experienced Deputy Manager or senior colleague who can demonstrate that you are ready to step up.

You will have:

  • Relevant leadership experience within a regulated adult social care setting, either as a Registered Manager or in a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or comparable senior role
  • Previous CQC registration experience, or the knowledge, capability and commitment to work towards registration with support
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards it
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, governance and compliance requirements
  • Experience of developing colleagues, contributing to service improvement and promoting consistently high standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, visible and hands-on leadership style
Why Join This Service?

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a specialist service that already has many positive elements in place, whether you bring established Registered Manager experience or is ready to progress into your first Registered Manager position.

You'll be joining a committed team supporting individuals to live fulfilling and meaningful lives whilst playing a key role in shaping the next stage of the service's journey. We’re looking for a manager who can provide stability, inspire their team and drive standards forward, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

If you are an experienced Registered Manager looking for a fresh opportunity, or an ambitious internal colleague ready to take the next step, we would love to hear from you.

We embrace people's differences and encourage you to Be You. So long as you've got the passion to make someone's life better, we can give you the skills, support and opportunities you need to build a rewarding career with Voyage Care.
