Service Manager
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am – 5:15pm

Are you an experienced Service Manager or supervisor ready to take the next step in your career? A leading plant machinery supply and support company is seeking a hands-on Workshop / Service Manager to oversee daily operations, lead the workshop team, and ensure service excellence across all plant maintenance and repair activities.

The Role

As the Workshop / Service Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the company’s workshop. You will coordinate and support a skilled team of engineers, manage workloads, and ensure high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all workshop operations, scheduling, and workload management.
  • Lead and support a team of service and maintenance engineers.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on a range of plant and heavy equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance, servicing, and repairs are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies.
  • Manage parts ordering, stock control, and service documentation.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within the workshop.
