Reporting to the Assistant Director of Mental Health & Addiction Services, the Right Support Right Time Service Manager is responsible for the overall management, monitoring and frontline delivery of the project on behalf of Inspire. Through the inclusion of people, families and communities, the Service Manager will ensure successful delivery of the project objectives to promote positive wellbeing, increase resilience and prevent the deterioration of existing mental and emotional distress in people, families and communities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of the Right Support Right Time project on behalf of Inspire across multiple locations in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
- Work flexibly and ensure the delivery of Inspire’s operational objectives across all three elements of the project (Prevention, Self-Help and Self-Management; Extended Brief and Specialist Interventions and Cooperation and Capacity Building).
- Manage and control the day-to-day operations for Inspire’s service delivery.
- Monitor and review the operational plans on a regular basis and report to the Assistant Director on progress towards achieving the strategic and operational priorities.
- Ensure Inspire’s vision and values are embedded within your area of responsibility, always adhering to Inspire’s organisational policies and codes of conducts.
- Engage service users’ and families in co-design and co-production and ensure that their ideas contribute fully to the planning and delivery of the project.
Skills and Qualifications
- RQF level 6 Qualification (BSc Hons / BA Hons) or equivalent in Social Work, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years’ direct line management experience of mental health services in a community setting or in services supporting vulnerable, disadvantaged people, families or communities in Ireland and/or Northern Ireland.
- Working in partnership with external stakeholders and/or partners.
- Developing and implementing project management plans including project scope, budget, and risk management strategies.
- Well-developed people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team in working toward multiple deadlines and/or outcomes.
- Managing a budget for the delivery of a service or a department.
- Use of IT packages and systems including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of mental health and/or wellbeing services and the challenges staff, service users and services face.
- Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car.
