We are currently recruiting for a HVAC Gas Engineer within Tesco Property Maintenance. This field-based role involves maintaining and servicing gas systems across a large retail estate. You will work closely with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, performing reactive and planned maintenance of commercial gas and HVAC systems. Ensuring all parts and equipment are ordered and work is completed to high standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow our Business Code of Conduct with integrity and due diligence.
• Ensure Tesco sites are safe and operational for customers and colleagues.
• Adhere to planned work schedules, aiming for first-time fixes and maximizing productivity.
• Maintain high work standards with continuous improvement.
• Use problem-solving skills to identify and develop solutions for common issues.
• Complete tasks locally, informing stakeholders as needed.
• Utilize mobile devices to update work and follow best practices.
• Use business systems for work order reporting and asset management.
• Support KPI delivery through skill application and system use.

Requirements

• Full driving license
• Health & Safety awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of Office 365
• Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Refrigeration and AC certifications (e.g., C&G 6187, 7189, 6090 or NVQ)
• Heating & Ventilation certifications (e.g., C&G 7188, 6288, 6188 or NVQ)
• Plumbing & Heating certifications (e.g., C&G 4467, 3345, 6189, 6035 or NVQ)
• C&G 2079 - F-Gas and ODS regulations
• Core gas safety (CCN1) and related certifications
• Additional certifications in commercial pipework, heating appliances, and safety regulations as listed
