Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Service / LEV Engineer to cover contracts across the Yorkshire/M1 region. The successful candidate will perform testing and servicing of LEV & dust/fume extraction systems in heavy manufacturing sites. Candidates should possess the BOHS P601 qualification and ideally have experience in the Clean Air sector. Job description

Job Title: Service / LEV Engineer (P601 Qualified)

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Coverage: covering contracts across Yorkshire / M1. Salary / Benefits: £32k – £50k + Company Vehicle + Benefits.

Successful Clean Air company is currently looking to recruit a hands‑on Service / LEV Engineer to join their expanding team. Travelling around the Yorkshire / M1 region, you will be undertaking the testing and servicing of LEV & Dust / Fume extraction systems, across predominately Heavy Manufacturing sites.

Having the P602 and experience in designing Local Exhaust Ventilation systems would be beneficial, however the client is happy to receive CVs from those with only the P601 and test / service experience. In return the client is offering an above market rate salary and package.

Applicants will live in a commutable distance of the M1 / Yorkshire / Midlands area. Attention will be given to those based in Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds, Wakefield, Pontefract, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Worksop, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Nottingham, Derby, Loughborough, Leicester, Northampton, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• BOHS P601 qualification (Essential)
• BOHS P602 / P604 qualifications (Desirable)
• Current / Previous experience working within the Clean Air sector.
• Experience in servicing and testing of LEV systems.
• Mechanical / Engineering background would be beneficial.
• Ideally experience using Auto CAD / Floorplan software.

Duties

• Testing LEV extraction systems using precision testing equipment to ensure compliance with HSG 258 guidelines.
• Servicing LEV systems and carrying out visual checks, ducting checks, and component checks.
• Carrying out scheduled and reactive filter changes.
• Producing detailed test and service reports for clients.
• Producing both working and manufacturing drawings on AutoCAD.
• Completing project mechanical design while providing technical solutions feedback.
• Commissioning and testing of newly installed systems.
• Air mapping quality of air.
• Identifying areas to cross sell the company's services.
