A local government organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Service Lead in Procurement and Commissioning to oversee procurement teams and provide strategic advice. As the Service Lead in Procurement and Commissioning, you will lead the procurement & commissioning teams, overseeing a range of services and projects within these areas.
You will contribute to the production and delivery of the council’s strategy, vision, and values, and where appropriate, lead the development of policy and strategy at the service level to achieve these strategic aims.
You will provide strategic advice to the Service Director, Executive Director, Members, and the Corporate Board on all areas of responsibility.
Act as the Council’s Principal Advisor on procurement and key areas covered by the team.
You will provide effective leadership and management of the team and deputise for the Service Director as required.
