Do you wantthe exciting opportunity to manage and lead the First Dietitians?

FirstCommunity Health and Care are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic personto manage and lead a team of 19 dietitians, dietetic assistants andadministrators delivering adult and childrens services across east Surreyand parts of West Sussex.

The postholder will need to have excellent communication skills and demonstrableskills in clinical supervision and line management.

You willsupport the team to continue to deliver excellent patient care based on theneeds of the local community.

The post holder will be supported to formulatethe operational delivery plans and strategic direction of the service consideringthe opportunities within the primary care networks, neighbourhoods and thewider system.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop the FirstCommunity dietetic service with a friendly, supportive and innovative team ofdietitians.

This role can be full time (1 WTE) or part time (0.8 WTE).

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for operational management, leadership and supportto the staff within First Dietitians.

They will lead on the strategic planningand service development within the wider dietetic department.

They willlead on strategic development, operational policy, business development andtransformational opportunities involving nutrition and dietetics for FirstCommunity Health & Care.

They will lead on aspects of clinical training ofdietitians, student dietitians and other healthcare professionals.

They willmanage a service which operates into West Sussex, as well as east Surrey alongwith any other current contracted activity ensuring the provision of highquality and effective care from First Dietitians.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that CQC regulations are adhered to.

Theywill also be required to participate in the Operational Manager on callrota.

Qualifications
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development through approved courses and other relevant activities.
  • BSc (Hons) Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent.
  • HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) Registration.
  • Leadership and Management Courses.
  • Working towards or completed a relevant Masters level (or equivalent) degree/course.
  • Attendance at BDA accredited course in clinical specialist area.
Experience
  • Experience of working at a senior level in Dietetics or other service.
  • Experience of line management of people/teams.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting and liaison between acute and community services.
  • Evidence of critical appraisal skills.
  • Evidence of implementation of evidence based practice.
  • Knowledge of research, audit, QI.
  • Experience in a wide range of clinical dietetic/other areas.
  • Experience of service development and improvement that is wider than their own clinical area of expertise.
  • Experience of developing and implementing evidence-based practice into routine working practice (own and of others).
  • Experience of providing supervision or support to junior staff.
  • Minimum 5 years post registration experience.
