As Service Lead for Family Safeguarding, you will oversee two service managers, providing strategic leadership to ensure children in need of help and protection receive appropriate support promptly. You will also continue our transformation journey and develop our families first partnership reforms to facilitate a whole-family approach.
You will have a successful social work career with leadership experience and a passion for working collaboratively with partner organizations. Compassion, resilience, approachability, and a leadership style that fosters team safety and well-being are essential qualities.
Wigan Borough comprises 14 towns working together to create a vibrant community. Our strategy focuses on fairness, opportunity, and partnership to support our children, families, and residents. We are committed to positive, asset-based working practices and have been recognized with multiple awards, including Council of the Year.
