AES Hearth & Patio is a leading retailer of Alternative Heating, Custom Fireplaces, and Outdoor Living Products, offered from a variety of manufacturers. We have showroom locations in Newville, Camp Hill and Burnham, with an extensive Service & Installation Department in Newville and Burnham.

We are privileged to work with a variety of customers, and as our business continues to grow, we are looking to add a new member to our service team!

We have an immediate opportunity for a Service & Installation Apprentice to assist our Lead Technicians with field installations and service work. This position offers hands-on training to become a Certified Lead Technician at AES Hearth & Patio. This position will also spend regular time in the warehouse and assisting with grounds maintenance.

This person will…

1. Assist with installations and service of stoves, inserts, and fireplaces & NOW Hot tubs.
2. Assist with chimney installation, repair, and maintenance.
3. Assist with deliveries of equipment and wood pellet fuel.
4. Assist with warehouse organization & grounds maintenance.

We are looking for…

1. Field service and/or installation experience.
2. Ability to use most power tools with some knowledge of basic construction.
3. Ability to work at heights (from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and on roofs).
4. Ability to lift heavy equipment consistently.
5. Must be able to work well in a team environment.
6. Willingness to learn and capable of being a future Lead Technician.
7. Ability to use a computer, know how to use a smartphone and tablet.
8. Construction, finish carpentry, or masonry experience (but not required).
9. Forklift Operation & DOT Physical (but not required).
