Job Opportunity: Service General Manager (12-Month Cover)

The Surgery and Associated Services Care Group is seeking a Service General Manager to oversee the Colorectal and Emergency General Surgery Services at NUH. This temporary role, lasting 12 months, provides maternity cover across the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham Treatment Centre, and Nottingham City Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational management and performance oversight of the specialties.
2. Providing strong, visible leadership in partnership with the Head of Service and Nursing Leads.
3. Driving improvements in operational and financial performance to meet ambitious targets.
4. Building strong relationships within the surgical specialties, across the directorate, and the wider Trust.

Ideal Candidate:

This high-profile role is suitable for a highly experienced service manager aiming to develop into an SGM position or an existing SGM seeking experience in a new specialty.
