Job summary
The Surgery and Associated Services Care Group is advertising for a Service General Manager to lead the Colorectal and Emergency General Surgery Services at NUH. This is a 12-month fixed-term role providing cover during maternity leave. The service spans across the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham Treatment Centre, and Nottingham City Hospital.
Colorectal and EGS are within a Surgical Directorate alongside Vascular, Renal Surgery, HPB, Upper GI, Endocrine Surgery & Elective General Surgery. Building strong relationships within these specialties and across the directorate and wider Trust is key to providing a successful service for patients.
As SGM, you will be responsible and accountable for the operational management and performance of the specialties, providing strong visible leadership in partnership with the Head of Service and Nursing Leads. You will drive ambitious targets to continually improve operational and financial performance. This high-profile role is suitable for a highly experienced service manager looking to develop into an SGM post or an existing SGM seeking experience in another specialty.
