Job summary

Writech Industrial Services Ltd. is seeking a Service Engineer to service diesel engine driven fire pumps and engines. The role requires 38 hours on site plus 10 hours travel per week, with work across UK from our Manchester base.

You will report to the Service Manager and work Monday to Friday, with a company vehicle provided for travel. Ideal candidates will have a valid driver’s licence and at least 3 years of service engineering experience, with hands-on maintenance, fault finding, and

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valve arrangements onsite.
• Fault finding and installation of control wiring systems and panels.
• Stripping and overhauling of pumps and alarm valves.
• Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines, and motors.
• Filling out of report for each visit to site on iPad.
• Compiling detailed work orders for items requiring repair onsite.
• Installation fitting and manufacturing of small piping systems.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will work on mechanical piping systems and will be responsible for servicing diesel engine driven fire pumps and engines. Our office is based in Manchester however as a Service Engineer you will attend sites across UK. There is a pay scale in place for this position which includes payment for travel to and from work in a Company Vehicle.

Reporting to: Service Manager

Hours: 38hrs Site and 10hrs Travel per week.

Days: Monday to Friday
