Job Overview

We are seeking a Service Engineer to support our Surgical Workplaces service team, focusing on our Sterile Reprocessing portfolio in South East England & West London. Getinge is a leading OEM dedicated to saving lives through innovative medical devices and solutions. Our service team plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment across hospitals and healthcare facilities in the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine testing, mechanical servicing, and fault diagnosis on medical equipment.
  2. Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
  3. Manage stock levels for spare parts and produce detailed service documentation.
  4. Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
  5. Adhere to quality and safety protocols, including out-of-hours standby duties.
  6. Provide validation reports and assist team members as needed.
  7. Identify sales opportunities and report them to relevant managers.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Recognized qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2).
  • Experience in field-based technical work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as GForce.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including working away from home.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
