Desired Experience

An HVAC Engineer with FGAS CAT 1 2079 or City & Guilds Level 2 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning who wants to progress their career through further technical training and onsite 1-1 coaching to become a specialised Chiller Service Engineer.

The Role

A leading Chiller Manufacturer is looking to recruit technical and career-focused Air Conditioning / HVAC Service Engineers and train them to become specialised Chiller Service Engineers focused on large chilled water HVAC systems. You will receive industry-leading manufacturer training and work alongside an experienced Chiller Service Engineer, conducting commercial planned preventive maintenance contracts, commissioning and warranty work on commercial Chiller Systems within commercial buildings, government buildings, multi-residential and critical infrastructure, both air cooled and water cooled chillers.

Experience Required

You must be a technically competent HVAC Service Engineer, highly capable at fault finding and repair on air conditioning systems, ideally large VRF / VRV refrigerated systems. CAT 1 2079 F-Gas is a minimum requirement; additional qualifications/certifications in hydrocarbons, commercial HVAC, refrigeration and manufacturer training would be advantageous. Some chiller experience is helpful but not required, provided you enjoy technical fault finding and want to learn on larger, more advanced HVAC systems focused on chilled water chillers and some commercial heat pumps that use heat recovery from chillers.

The Company

A leading chiller Manufacturer for commercial buildings and critical infrastructure, expanding their technical chiller team to support ongoing service contracts and new chiller installations requiring commissioning and warranty work. Their chillers include water cooled chillers, hydronics, close control, CRAC systems, CRAH systems and commercial heat pump systems to recover heat and reduce carbon footprint. All Chiller Engineers progress through ongoing training and 1-1 coaching on the latest energy-efficient, low-carbon systems.

Initial indications for this Service Engineer position show a starting base salary from £38,000 to £42,000 until fully trained and developed to work independently, at which point base salary increases. Working hours are 40 per week, with overtime available. A company van or car is provided (depending on preference) along with pension, private healthcare and dental. 27 days holiday + bank holidays. No weekend or shift work.
