Overview

First Military Recruitment is supporting our client in the search for a Service Engineer. Our client designs and manufactures steam boilers, thermal heaters, and thermal oxidisers. They offer high earning potential depending on experience, plus overtime, a company vehicle, pension scheme, and expense allowances.

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00. Service Engineers typically leave home between 6:00 and 7:30, marking the start of their workday.

Our client is eager to offer opportunities to ex-military personnel, but all applications will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Service Engineer:

• Commissioning new and refurbished equipment, including providing status feedback and reports.
• Attending breakdowns, servicing, and site investigations related to the company's equipment.
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors on site, including performance reporting to the Field Service Manager.
• Providing detailed feedback on equipment performance, quality, and design.
• Training customer personnel and/or service engineers in operation and maintenance as requested by the Field Service Manager.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Sound electro-mechanical skills.
• Experience with combustion systems.
• Industrial or commercial gas qualification.
• Apprenticeship or formal technical qualification.
• Knowledge of electronic burner management control is an advantage but not essential.
