Job description

Next Generation is pleased to be appointed to recruit a Service Engineer for a well-established organisation specializing in the design and manufacture of bespoke products. The Service Engineer will provide telephone and on-site technical support to clients in the Marine and Rail industries.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am - 4.30pm
Friday: 7.30am - 1.30pm

Key Duties
  • Site installation and configuration of equipment
  • Service and repair of machinery and equipment at customer sites
  • Fitting, wiring, and assembly of products
  • Fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Completing site reports
  • Preparing reports on equipment status and service history
  • Collaborating with cross-functional departments to improve product performance and reliability
  • Building professional relationships with customers on site
Candidate Requirements
  • Formal electrical qualification or apprenticeship (desirable)
  • UK/EU travel (essential)
  • Understanding of schematic and engineering drawings
  • Full UK driving license
