Are you looking to join a team that is striving for more?
This is a great opportunity to join a specialist team working to transform train interiors. You will be part of a specially trained team that will tackle interior maintenance for train fleets that have a high passenger turnover and require extra attention to deliver clean, modern, safe, and comfortable train carriages into service. This role focuses on achieving high standards and enhancing customer experience by maintaining and improving train interiors.
We are considering candidates with or without previous rail experience as full training will be provided internally, including depot PTS and on-the-job training to follow VMIs for hands-on work and accurate record-keeping to aid fleet maintenance planning and ensure high standards are maintained.
As a Service Support Operative, your responsibilities include supporting the repair, upgrade, and reactive maintenance of key interior carriage facilities for an operational fleet of rail vehicles. This involves removal and replacement of parts and equipment within train interiors.
Attention to detail is essential. You will work on areas of train maintenance that may have been overlooked in standard exams and maintenance schedules, focusing on passenger comfort, accessibility, and safety. Ensuring defects are identified and addressed to the highest standards is key.
