A leading National Material Handling company has a newly created opportunity to join the business. The company has been established for over 40 years and is one of the most recognised names in the industry. Following significant expansion, they now operate over 14 depots throughout the UK.

The business is experiencing substantial growth and continues to expand in Birmingham. It prides itself on a friendly, supportive culture with opportunities for training and career progression. The role offers an attractive salary package, circa £35k to £44k, which includes a standard 40-hour week with overtime paid at time and a half, and a fully expensed van (including some personal usage).

Responsibilities of the Forklift Engineer
  • Servicing and repairing trucks as directed by the Service Manager.
  • Diagnosing the nature of each query and repair with a friendly, efficient, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Completing reports for each job on a PDA system.
  • Driving to client locations.

Requirements of the Role
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plant, Maintenance, or Vehicle (preferably apprentice trained)
  • Experience as a Forklift Engineer
  • Background with electric, hybrid, or mechanical trucks
  • Full UK driving license
  • Good workload management skills and ability to cope under pressure
  • Professional presentation
  • Team player
