To our depot based in Plymouth, we are looking for a person with previous mechanical experience to service and repair our equipment either at the depot or on the customer's site.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in the role, you should have:

  • Previous mechanical experience
  • NVQ3 or a suitable Apprenticeship
  • Good working knowledge of EHSQ
  • Time Management skills
  • UK driving license

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Equipment Maintenance and Repairs

  • Assisting in servicing plant equipment, especially pumps, within the depot
  • Carrying out major repairs on equipment deemed too intensive for standard depot procedures
  • Refurbishing end-of-life equipment to bring it back to an as-new condition

Logistics and Daily Activities in the Depot

  • Assisting with loading and unloading pumps and generators onto delivery lorries using Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck
  • Ensuring all equipment is serviced and maintained to a high standard
  • Reporting major problems with equipment to the Foreman/Depot Supervisor

Health & Safety / Compliance & Ethics

  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures within the workshop environment
  • Being fully compliant with all environmental health and safety procedures
  • Following all quality, environmental health, and safety directives, including PPE, accident reporting, risk assessments, RAMS, and ACE
