Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a leading compressed air supplier.

The successful candidate will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and fault finding of compressed air equipment, including compressors, vacuum pumps, desiccant dryers, chillers, compressed air filtration, nitrogen generators, and associated equipment at customer sites across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Ideally, candidates will have a service background in engineering with fault finding skills in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, such as compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, valves, motors, rotating equipment, or similar products. Full product training will be provided.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air products, systems, and solutions at customer sites across Yorkshire.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, commissioning, diagnostics, fault finding of various compressed air and filtration systems.
  • Maintain, repair, install, validate, and test compressed air equipment, including compressors, vacuum pumps, desiccant dryers, chillers, and nitrogen generators.
  • Identify and recommend improvements, upgrades, or aftercare for compressed air products.
  • Operate fully remotely across Yorkshire with occasional travel to Sheffield for training and part collections.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

Requirements:

  • Proven diagnostic skills on complex electrical and mechanical products.
  • Experience as a Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar within rotating equipment.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Good knowledge of servicing compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, and rotating equipment.
  • Technical qualification such as an apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree is advantageous.
  • Part of the on-call rota, 1 week in 9.
  • Willingness to travel across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
