A leading company in lift maintenance seeks a technician responsible for servicing and maintaining lifts across Oxford. You will develop strong customer relationships, adhere to safety standards, and manage administrative tasks related to service. This position requires a proactive approach to both customer service and maintenance tasks.

Responsible for carrying out regular maintenance service visits to lifts and equipment within the allocated area. Expected to build excellent customer relationships with all clients on their route, making extra efforts for clients with "Warranty" lifts to secure ongoing service contracts. Provides Head Office with client ownership information when available.
Plans daily/weekly/monthly work schedules and routes using the Information Pack to maximize efficiency, minimizing travel and non-productive time. Upon arrival at the site, reports to the customer or their representative to get a status update on the lifts to be serviced. Carries out routine service according to the planned maintenance schedule, adhering to safety, performance, and quality standards set by the company. After completing service, reports back to the client and obtains signed paperwork. Performs initial Risk Assessment on new lifts and reviews/amends on subsequent visits, addressing hazards and posting warning notices as needed.
Develops and maintains relationships with customers, advising them of relevant service information, including recent insurance reports. Builds strong working rapport to retain existing service contracts, secure new contracts for warranty lifts, and win additional repair or modernization projects. Provides Head Office with client ownership information when available.
Submits accurate weekly job sheets, service reports, and timesheets in line with company procedures. Provides Head Office with client ownership information when appropriate.
Adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, guidelines, and company procedures. Uses and maintains Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly and keeps it in good condition.
Responsible for maintaining the company van in a clean and roadworthy condition. Ensures all tools, instruments, and materials are stored safely and reports damages or losses immediately. Maintains an inventory and submits requisitions timely to prevent shortages.
