My Client is recruiting for a Service Engineer in the Water Sector

Field-based in Oxfordshire/Wiltshire/Gloucestershire - England and Wales wide at times

Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours

Our Client has a fantastic opportunity to join their leading, well-respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-quality service by providing on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offering after-sales technical and commercial support. Once fully trained and competent, you will be required to carry out occasional commissioning work on standard equipment and provide after-sales support. The role also involves completing risk assessments, work reports, activity reports, and other documentation. Flexibility to work some weekends, public holidays, and participate in an 'On-call rota' for out-of-hours support is required.

Responsibilities of a Service Engineer include:
  1. Providing on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and after-sales support
  2. Having a good knowledge of processes, procedures, and systems relevant to the tasks, with a basic understanding of underlying concepts
  3. Observing and enforcing health & safety policies of the company and clients
  4. Occasional commissioning work
  5. Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, timesheets, and documentation
  6. Completing site tasks promptly
  7. Undertaking relevant training as approved by your line manager
  8. Understanding team integration to achieve overall objectives
  9. Providing feedback on product development and features
  10. Updating your line manager on issues impacting the company
General requirements for the role:
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering qualification
  • Good communication skills, punctuality, presentability, willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to understand others' needs and communicate clearly
  • Water Sector experience is desirable
