Service Engineer | Ipswich | Full-time | £40,000 Per Annum + Overtime + Paid door to door when travelling

Are you an experienced Service Engineer looking to advance your career?

Our client, a leader in high-quality slitting and rewinding machinery, seeks a skilled Service/Installation Engineer for their International Machine Support Department in Ipswich, Suffolk.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong electro/mechanical engineering background who is willing to travel globally to support customers. If you have experience in machine servicing and installation, and seek a dynamic role with competitive salary and benefits, we want to hear from you!

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a production machine service/installation environment
  • Background in electro/mechanical engineering
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Knowledge of machine controls (PLCs) and A.C drive controls
  • Experience in mechanical engineering, servicing, and repairs
  • Knowledge of the Converting Industry is a plus
  • Located in or near Ipswich, with availability to be factory-based when not traveling
Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide service and installation support for slitting and rewinding machinery
  • Travel worldwide for installations and servicing
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery to minimize downtime
  • Work with machine controls including PLCs and A.C drives
  • Perform mechanical servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Be based in Ipswich when not on-site
