Job summary

ACS Performance Ltd is seeking a Service Engineer to maintain automatic door systems at customer sites. This full-time, field-based role involves carrying out planned maintenance, reactive repairs and upgrades while delivering a professional service.

You will diagnose faults, work independently or as part of a team, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Training can be provided for door system specifics.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with automatic doors is highly desirable, though training can be provided.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
• Knowledge of BS 7036 / EN 16005 preferred.
• CSCS Card advantageous.
• NVQ in door systems and repair advantageous.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Customer-focused, able to work independently or in a team.
• Flexible with hours, call-outs, and occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• Diagnosing existing and potential faults using a logical approach.
• Completing modernisation and system upgrade works.
• Carrying out door safety checks and investigating incidents.
• Providing technical support to customers and colleagues.
• Recommending preventative maintenance, replacement parts and system improvements.
• Identifying opportunities for upgrades and additional service requirements.
• Completing all required service documentation accurately.
• Managing vehicle stock, tools, equipment, uniform and PPE.
• Following customer site procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Delivering a professional and reliable service at customer sites.

SERVICE ENGINEER - AUTOMATIC DOORS

Full-time | Field Based

We're looking for a Service Engineer to join a growing service team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and upgrades to automatic door systems at customer sites.

This is a field-based role suited to someone with strong mechanical and/or electrical skills who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and delivering excellent customer service.

THE ROLE

ABOUT YOU
