Job description

We are looking for a Service Engineer (SE) to join our growing aftersales and service team, reporting to the Acting Service Manager North.

Based in our Doncaster Service Centre, transferring to Leeds in H1 2026, this is a full-time position with responsibility for the maintenance, service, and repair of all plant and machinery associated with the Husqvarna Construction product range.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage workload and effectively maintain high levels of customer service while performing necessary administrative duties as required.
  2. Have a working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered.
  3. Read and interpret electronic and hydraulic drawings.
  4. Offer exemplary customer service, maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by addressing concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.
  5. Work with the Doncaster/Leeds service centre manager to maintain and manage industry regulations, ensuring adherence to all regulations.
  6. Resolve service problems and improve current service methods to increase productivity and customer service.
  7. Ensure all standards are met and that repair work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly.
  8. Interface with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
  9. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  10. Troubleshoot and respond to customer concerns.
  11. Maintain a proven record of reliability and accountability for all aspects of the job.
  12. Utilize computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  13. Demonstrate excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, able to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
  14. Work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment.
  15. Be resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
  16. Exhibit strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  17. Utilize decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills.
  18. Pay attention to detail and manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Valid driving license.
  2. Experience as a service engineer working with electrical and hydraulic equipment, along with both petrol and diesel-powered equipment.
