Carrier Corporate is seeking a skilled Service Engineer for Pumps & Power division to service, repair and maintain diesel-powered equipment at depot in Peterborough and on-site locations. The role emphasizes health and safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability to keep customer operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate brings mechanical experience with pumps, generators, and diesel engines, plus NVQ Level 3 or an M&E apprenticeship. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience with plant equipment, pumps, generators and diesel engines.
• NVQ Level 3 or an M&E related apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, generators and diesel-powered equipment in depot- and field-based environments.
• Preparing and inspecting equipment at the depot to ensure full operation before deployment.
• Carrying out major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and performing repairs to minimise downtime.
• Collaborating with the service team, hire controller, and foreman to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensuring Health & Safety regulations and company policies are followed at all times.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment and ensuring equipment meets safety and quality standards.
• Traveling to customer sites and taking part in an on-call rota (1 week in 4).

About The Role

Carrier Rental Systems delivers immediate, 24/7 nationwide rental solutions - designed to keep your operations running smoothly and protect against the stress of unexpected downtime. The role is part of Pumps & Power division.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Service Engineer to repair and maintain diesel-powered equipment (pumps & generators) in both depot in Peterborough and on-site environments. The role requires a strong focus on Health & Safety, with full compliance to regulations and company policies at all times, while maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment to ensure all equipment meets required safety and quality standards and customer operations run without interruption.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We Are Looking For

• Mechanical experience, ideally working with plant equipment, pumps, generators, and diesel engines.

Pay Range

The annual base salary for this position is between £36,799 - 40,961. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position is entitled to call out payments and overtime.
