Job summary

Hall & Kay is seeking a Service Engineer to join our teams in the UK. You will service, maintain, repair and replace sprinkler pipe work across multiple buildings, with a focus on PPM and small works projects.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with valve sets, 5-point flow testing on sprinkler pumps, and a strong understanding of plumbing/piping within commercial/industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Essential: servicing all valve sets (wet, dry, alternate, deluge, pre-Action).
• Essential: 5-point flow tests on sprinkler pumps and general service checks.
• Essential: plumbing/piping knowledge and fault finding on sprinkler systems.
• Must have a full UK driving license for regional coverage.
• Desirable: Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualification.
• Desirable: experience in Commercial/Industrial buildings.
• Desirable: experience with small works installs and electronic reporting.

Responsibilities

Summary of role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repairs and replacements of sprinkler pipe work. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in entering or returning to the sprinkler industry as a Service Engineer.

What you will be doing

• Responsible for PPM and small works projects across a few buildings
• Servicing all types of valve sets
• Carrying out 5 point flow tests on fire pumps
• Conducting general service checks

What we will need from you

• Experience in servicing all types of the following valve sets: Wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-Action (essential)
• Experience of carrying out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps and general service checks (essential)
• Experience of Plumbing / Piping Knowledge & fault finding on sprinkler systems (essential)
• Must have a full UK driving license able to cover a regional role (essential)
• Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualified (desirable)
• Previous experience gained within Commercial / Industrial buildings environment (desirable)
• Experience in small works install (desirable)
• Experience and understanding of electronic reporting (desirable)
