Qualifications

HVAC Service Engineer

Full time

Salary - 16- 18.50 per hour - 37,500k - 45k per annum + OT

Based in Sheffield / Manchester

A well-established, growing company operating nationwide - an opportunity for internal promotion for the right candidate.

We are looking for a highly experienced service engineer who has a vast knowledge of maintenance and reactive fault finding, working on refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, such as freezers, chillers, VRF/VRV and split systems for our blue-chip commercial clients such as NHS, Universities, hospitality, restaurant outlets, hotels, commercial offices, and leisure.

Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer Position Requirements

  • Competent in Leading a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Experience in commercial installations (Splits, VRF Systems, Heat Pumps, AHUs etc.)
  • Commissioning VRF, VRV and Split systems (preferable)
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance on HVAC equipment for our clients
  • NVQ Level 2 Refrigeration / Air Conditioning (preferable)

Required Qualifications / Experience:

  • FGAS or Equivalent
  • IPAF & PASMA Tickets (Desirable)
  • Full Driver's Licence
  • Valid CSCS card

The Ideal Candidate

  • A highly experienced Refrigeration & Air conditioning engineer, with a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration & Air conditioning, you will need to be F-Gas/EN 378 compliant
  • A high level of interpersonal skills -good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports.
  • High quality workmanship and pride in work is a MUST.
  • You will be confident in your own ability
  • You will be flexible to assist with call-out rota, and if required out of normal working hours service.
  • You will be flexible and open to work on all types of mechanical systems where required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, you will have a "can do" attitude
  • Ideally you will have good electrical competence including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits
  • Full Driving licence
