Overview

Service Engineer - 6 Months FTC (3 months in Spring and 3 months in Autumn). Based in Diss. Permanent role. Salary circa £23,000–£24,000 per annum plus daily rate for additional hours. Training provided (e.g., IPAF).

Responsibilities
  • Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment.
  • Completing Preventative Maintenance and modifications.
  • Ordering and managing repair parts and cycle times.
  • Maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
  • Meeting Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
  • Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales.
  • Working as a member of the team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts.
  • Lift and carry a toolbox.
  • Complying with regulatory requirements including Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, and COSHH.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Two years’ work experience in the servicing industry preferred.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing Evaporative Cooler equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
  • Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
  • Resourceful, able to work independently; strong time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances; decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail; ability to multi-task with shifting priorities; able to work productively in a pressurized environment.
