Are you a Mechanical Engineer : either from an on:site maintenance or field service background : with experience of providing repair, maintenance, service and support of industrial equipment? Were a well established British engineering company who offer full after sales and service support to the clients of a major Italian packaging machinery manufacturer.

BASIC SALARY: Up to A GBP 50,000 Base

LOCATION: Covering the UK and Ireland 70, but factory based in Corby 30 of the time.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer : Packaging Machinery, Industrial Capital Equipment

A classic field Service Engineer role involving repair, refurbishment, upgrades, installations and commissioning of a range of packaging machinery supplied to the food, pharmaceutical and other manufacturing industries.

Travelling to client sites 70 of the time, and spending 1 to 2 nights away from home per week on average, but weekend work is voluntary so we offer a good work life balance.

Time spent at the workshop in Corby roughly 30.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer : Packaging Machinery, Industrial Capital Equipment

A You WILL be an experienced Field Service or Maintenance Engineer of industrial or special purpose machinery.

A You MUST be a qualified Mechanical Engineer / completed a full mechanical apprenticeship.

A Any electrical engineering qualifications or experience would be a bonus.

Exposure, or previous hands experience of packaging machinery would be an obvious advantage : ideally in the food and / or pharmaceutical sectors : but were open on any special purpose industrial machinery experience.

A small and very well established British engineering company who offer full after sales and service support to the clients of a major Italian packaging machinery manufacturer. This role is a new role to cover for future retirement. A really nice place to work and a client of mine for over 20 years
