Service Engineer
Peterborough, plus UK travel
£45,000 per annum

Our client is at the forefront of their industry, with machinery ranges used across the world.

Due to a healthy orderbook, they are currently looking for an experienced Service Engineer, who is a time-served electro-mechanical engineer, to work on their product range of equipment in terms of mechanical/electrical service and upgrade work.

The role focuses on all aspects of customer support through general service visits, equipment refurbishments, re-builds and upgrades, relocation of customers’ existing equipment, and customer training.

Main Duties:

1. Produce reports following each customer visit detailing work completed, highlighting any issues such as technical problems, site delays, customer comments, etc.
2. Supervise other engineers on site, either employed or contracted by the company or the customer, when required.
3. Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to and that best working practices are used at all times.
4. Support Aftermarket activities in the office and work in the factory assembly department as required.
5. Promote lifetime support to customers and help secure new business opportunities for both Aftermarket and Original equipment projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Time-served skilled electro-mechanical engineer.
2. Onsite electrical and mechanical experience would be beneficial.
3. ONC/HNC or equivalent.
4. Customer-focused with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of developing customer relationships.
5. Willingness to travel (at short notice) and work on customer sites both in the UK and overseas.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.45pm and Friday 8.30am to 3.00pm.

Offered is a salary of up to £45k per annum, a generous holiday allowance plus bank holidays, company pension, life assurance, and entry into a healthcare scheme.
