Our client is a leading OEM specializing in high-speed robotic packaging machines for the Food, Process, Pharmaceutical, and Cosmetics industries. The Field Service Engineer will install, service, and maintain electrical systems across the UK & Ireland, with a focus on servo drives and control systems.

Role covers installations, breakdowns, PPMs, and urgent service work, requiring travel and staying away from home.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification required.
• Experience reading electrical diagrams, wiring and rewiring.
• Experience interrogating PLCs.
• Knowledge of servo drives and control systems.
• Willingness to travel UK & Ireland.
• Field service experience on industrial capital equipment.
• Able to stay away from home.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, maintenance and repair on robotic packaging machines and EOL lines.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams for wiring tasks.
• Interrogate PLCs to diagnose electrical issues.
• Focus on servo drives and control systems for precision.
• Provide excellent customer service during field visits.

Salary: £50,000 per annum (OTE £60,000+ with bonus & overtime)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installations, breakdowns, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and service work across the UK and Ireland. This is a multi-skilled role where your primary focus will be on electrical systems, including servo drives and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installations, maintenance, and repair work on robotic packaging machines and EOL packaging lines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams for wiring and rewiring tasks.
• Interrogate and work with PLCs to diagnose and solve electrical issues.
• Focus on servo drives and control systems to ensure precision in machine operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and support during field visits.

Requirements:

• Electrical qualification is essential.
