PHS Direct Service Driver - Glasgow

Salary: £25,500 Per annum

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Direct Service Driver to service customers in Glasgow. The role involves delivering goods, building customer relationships, and supporting warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

1. Service customers politely, friendly, and professionally at all times.
2. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
3. Deliver goods to customers' preferred locations.
4. Complete delivery, collection, and return paperwork accurately and submit to the goods-in controller.
5. Drive and park the vehicle safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
6. Report any issues to the line manager or designated person during the day and at debrief.
7. Load the vehicle for the following day's deliveries.
8. Ensure the vehicle is clean, tidy, and roadworthy through daily checks.
9. Comply with PHS transport and health & safety policies.
10. Accurately load stock and customer orders onto the delivery vehicle for the next day's route.
11. Assist warehouse colleagues with reasonable requests as needed.
12. Maintain a positive, outgoing attitude and demonstrate a can-do approach.
13. Work effectively as part of a team and be flexible to business needs.
14. Use own initiative when working independently.
15. Apply sound knowledge of health and safety practices.
16. Plan routes efficiently using sat-nav, with good geographical knowledge of Scotland’s central belt.
17. Must have proven experience driving a 3.5T XLWB vehicle.
