At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Service Desk Shift Analyst at our Lakeside Offices, Portsmouth, Hampshire.

The Role

As a Service Desk Shift Analyst, you'll support and provide excellent 1st line support for software, hardware, and network issues. You'll be part of our Corporate Services team, supporting customers and developing your career.

We offer onboarding training for 4-6 weeks, with additional training available after 6 months to develop specialised skills. Your daily responsibilities include answering calls, chats, and service requests, logging interactions, providing customer service, escalating issues, and supporting our 2nd and 3rd line teams. You will also perform checks and monitoring activities on Babcock infrastructure during your shift.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, 40.5 hours per week, working 4 days on, 4 days off. Shifts start as early as 6:30 am and finish by 8:30 pm, with 12-hour shifts. The role is based at our Portsmouth offices with home working arrangements.

Essential Experience
  • Customer service experience (face-to-face or over the phone)
  • Entry-level service desk or call centre experience
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of systems like Active Directory and Microsoft Applications
  • A passion for IT

Security Clearance
