Salary: GBP 28,134 - GBP 33,959 per annum
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the IS Operations team as an IS Service Desk Engineer in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will handle a wide range of technical issues and interact directly with customers.
The IS Service Desk team is the first point of contact for GMC staff (over 1700 employees across multiple UK offices) and external partners for IT-related issues. You will also liaise with various suppliers.
This demanding support role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to clearly communicate solutions to end users, and broad technical knowledge across multiple technologies and products.
We seek a technical support professional responsible for providing high-level remote and onsite IT support, end-user support, and network administration, managing incidents and requests within SLA. You will collaborate closely with all levels of the IS department to ensure optimal customer experience.
The induction will be based at our Manchester offices, requiring attendance five days a week for the first month. Afterward, a hybrid working pattern is available.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with approximately three days in the office each week, and flexibility to attend more if desired. Additional office days may be required for meetings or other needs.
The role is full-time (37.5 hours, Monday to Friday). Shifts are from 8:00 to 4:30 or 9:00 to 5:30. On-call duties are part of the rota, available 24/7.
