Job summary

A well-known Scottish organization based in Motherwell is seeking a Service Desk Analyst for a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will provide remote and deskside support, handle mobile deployments, and troubleshoot software and hardware issues. Ideal candidates will have experience with Azure, Intune, and Exchange Admin, along with strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Service Desk Analyst

Motherwell

Salary circa £25,000pa (depending on experience)

Role Overview

The Digital team has an exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Analyst. In this role, you will provide remote and deskside support to users, resolving software and hardware issues, and managing hardware deployment and returns.

Responsibilities
  1. Build and deploy mobile phones to staff and ensure compliance within Mobile Device Management.
  2. Maintain the Mobile Phone number register.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve mobile phone issues reported to the Service Desk.
  4. Coordinate with line managers for ICT asset delivery and returns, updating asset management systems.
  5. Deploy apps to Android and Windows devices using Intune.
  6. Configure laptops for staff, installing necessary software and security patches, and maintaining asset records.
  7. Troubleshoot hardware faults with laptops, involving support partners as needed.
  8. Manage Exchange Mailboxes, Resources, and permissions via the Admin Centre.
  9. Collaborate with ICT suppliers to troubleshoot printer and network issues.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience with mobile deployment (including Android), Microsoft Suite, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, and Exchange Admin. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a professional environment is preferred.

Key skills include methodical troubleshooting, good communication, time management, resilience, ownership of issues, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
