Jobbeschreibung

Overview
Service Designer
What if you could redesign services that help thousands of people access support sooner?

Every day, people take the first step towards positive change. The experiences they encounter along the way can make all the difference.

At Change Grow Live, we're reimagining how support is designed, delivered and experienced. Our ambition is simple but powerful: to reach people sooner, helping more people access the right support earlier, before challenges escalated and opportunities are missed.

That's why we're looking for an experienced Service Designer to join our Change and Transformation Directorate.

This is more than a service design role. It's an opportunity to influence how support is experienced across a national organisation, shaping services that create more time to care, improve outcomes and deliver lasting impact for the people who rely on them.

If you're passionate about turning insight into meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.

Why This Matters

At Change Grow Live, we see possibilities in every person.

The Change and Transformation Directorate enables the delivery of strategic programmes, service redesign, organisational improvement and innovation across Change Grow Live. Our multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to redesign services, deliver digital transformation and support sustainable change that improves outcomes for the people we support.

Our ambition is to reach people sooner. We want more people to find the right support earlier, before harm and crisis escalated. To achieve this, we are focusing on three connected priorities: preventing harm and crisis, creating more time to care, and improving experience and impact. We are strengthening the link between ambition, action and impact so that every change has a clear line of sight to better outcomes.

Every improvement we make should enable better outcomes for the people we support and the colleagues who deliver our services. As a Service Designer, you'll play a key role in making that happen.

The Opportunity

This is your opportunity to help shape how support is experienced across Change Grow Live.

Working within a multidisciplinary agile team, you'll use service design, user-centred design and business analysis approaches to uncover needs, identify opportunities and redesign experiences that work better for everyone involved.

You'll bring together the perspectives of people using our services, frontline colleagues and stakeholders from across the organisation to create solutions that are practical, inclusive and evidence-driven.

Through research, co-design, prototyping and testing, you'll help transform insight into meaningful improvements that can be successfully adopted, delivered and sustained.

You'll challenge assumptions, simplify complexity and help create services that enable colleagues to spend more time caring while helping more people access support when they need it most.

The Difference You'll Make

Join our Service Redesign Team and you'll help shape how support is experienced across Change Grow Live.

You'll spend time understanding the needs of people who use our services and the colleagues who deliver them, turning insight into practical improvements that help us create more time to care, improve experiences and reach people sooner.

No two projects will be the same. One day you might be facilitating a co-design workshop, bringing together different perspectives to explore new possibilities. The next, you could be mapping a service journey, testing a prototype or helping colleagues see challenges through a different lens.

Working across transformation programmes with organisation-wide impact, you'll turn ideas into practical change, helping shape services that are easier to access, easier to deliver and more effective for the people who rely on them.

Most importantly, you'll see the direct impact of your work, helping more people access the right support at the right time.

Location

This is primarily a home-based role within a virtual national team, with travel to locations across the UK as required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: 2 year Fixed Term Contract.

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and any associated payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

Who You Are

You might already be working as a Service Designer, or in another role focused on improving services and experiences.

What's most important is that you're curious about people, passionate about improvement and motivated by meaningful change.

You enjoy bringing different perspectives together, asking thoughtful questions and finding ways to turn complexity into clarity. You're comfortable working with uncertainty and can balance creative thinking with practical delivery.

You'll know how to build relationships, gain trust and bring people with you on a journey of change.

Above all, you'll believe that the best services are designed alongside the people who use and deliver them.

Grow Your Career With Us

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as part of a growing transformation and redesign function.

Whether you want to deepen your expertise in service design, broaden your experience across transformation and innovation, or explore future leadership opportunities, you'll find the support, flexibility and encouragement to help you grow. You'll collaborate with talented colleagues from across the organisation, work on high-impact national programmes and gain exposure to strategic work that influences how services are designed and delivered at scale.

As our transformation journey continues, you'll have opportunities to build new skills, expand your influence and shape a career path that is right for you.

Why Join Change Grow Live?

At Change Grow Live, you'll be part of something bigger than a job.

You'll join a team of passionate, supportive people who care deeply about making a difference and helping others create positive change in their lives. Here, your ideas will be valued, your contribution will be recognised and your development will be encouraged.

Our Approach to AI and Applications

AI can be a really helpful tool when putting together your application, and we're happy for you to use it. However, what we're most interested in is you.

We want to understand your experiences, achievements and strengths, so please make sure your application reflects your own story and clearly shows how you meet the essential criteria and the impact you've made in previous roles.

There's no need to write in a particular style. The strongest applications are those that are authentic, specific and clearly demonstrate your skills, experience and potential. We look forward to learning more about you.

Direct applications only — we will not be engaging agencies for this vacancy.

Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. For applicants with time-limited visas, unfortunately, we are unable to support new visa applications or extensions.

We're excited to hear from talented candidates and may close this advert earlier than the advertised closing date if we receive a high volume of applications. We therefore encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity.
