Job summary

Accenture Song is seeking a junior service design professional to support research activities, synthesize findings, and help create artefacts such as personas and journey maps. You will assist in co-design workshops and develop visual communication skills under senior guidance.

The role embraces hybrid work with exposure to client projects, BPSS screening, and a collaborative studio culture that values curiosity and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Social Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in service design, UX research, or related field.
• Exposure to qualitative research methods and user interviews.
• Awareness of service design artefacts including journey maps and personas.
• Bring genuine curiosity about people, organisations, and systems.
• Open to learning new methods and challenging tasks.
• Demonstrate care and quality in work, even on small tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support qualitative research activities — interviews, observation, and note-taking.
• Contribute to synthesis of research findings into themes, insights, and opportunities.
• Assist in creating service design artefacts including personas, journey maps, and service blueprints.
• Support design and facilitation of co-design workshops under guidance of senior designers.

Years Of Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in service design, UX research, or a related field.
• Exposure to qualitative research methods and user interviews.
• Awareness of service design artefacts including journey maps and personas.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Social Science, or a related field.
• Bring genuine curiosity about people, organisations, and the systems that connect them.
• Approach new methods and challenges with openness and a willingness to learn.
• Demonstrate care and quality in your work, however small the task.

Craft

• Support the conduct of qualitative research activities — interviews, observation, and note-taking.
• Contribute to the synthesis of research findings into themes, insights, and opportunity areas.
• Assist in the creation of service design artefacts including personas, journey maps, and service blueprints.
• Support the design and facilitation of co-design workshops under the guidance of senior designers.
• Develop your visual communication skills, producing clear and considered artefacts.

Project

• Support the delivery of a service design workstream with quality and care.
• Collaborate actively with product, content, and technology team members.
• Manage your own tasks and time effectively within project timelines.

Client

• Engage with client teams in a professional and collaborative manner.
• Develop confidence presenting research and design thinking to stakeholders.
• Build an understanding of client context, user needs, and organisational dynamics.

Skillset

• Early-stage service design portfolio demonstrating research participation and artefact quality.

• Ability to produce clear journey maps, personas, and supporting research materials.
• Eagerness to develop facilitation skills and confidence presenting to stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

THINGS TO NOTE

• Some of our clients require background checks. You will need to complete a Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) to confirm your identity, criminal record, right to work and residency.
• Comfortable with hybrid working. Every project is different, but we love our team to be in the studio and in our client’s office to work collaboratively.
